Big Strategy
When the City of Vancouver decided to implement a bike lane on Burrard, they had 6 weeks to prepare and build awareness. Safety issues, alternate routes, lane changes and other projected impacts were all on the table for consideration. It was up to Big House to get the message out there and get it heard. Some motorists were vehemently opposed while certain bikers could not have been more pro. People needed to find the middle ground and Big House was brought on for the ride. The ride, get it?
Big Results
We love it when a plan comes together and that’s just what happened. Despite time constraints the project was delivered on time across all media. Citizens got in the know on all aspects of the project and for better or worse, formed an educated opinion on the bike lane. Big House’s simple iconography identified communications for motorists, walkers and bikers alike. Unlike the failed lane of a decade prior, the trial went forward without a hitch and the general mood of online commentary was positive.
